A dome tent can be quite deceiving in regards to the amount of space available inside. From the outside a dome tent may look small but once inside the space seems to open up. A dome tent is great for hanging a battery operated lantern from the center as a night time light. I like to read before bed so that set up works perfectly for my needs.

A dome tent works well in less than perfect weather. With the weather protecting cover it repels water and snow quite well. The dome tent shape is made to allow raindrops and snow flakes to roll right off. I always apply water resistant spray to my tents and hiking shoes. It really can make the difference between getting drenched and keeping dry.

A dome tent has plenty of room inside to set up sleeping bags and store travel bags. The height in the center allows an adult to stand up while getting dressed or undressed. The size and shape of a dome tent can be deceiving. I have found they offer more living space inside than they appear to have when looking at them from the outside.
