backpacking tent


Backpacking is a challenging way to enjoy the outdoors with hiking and camping all in one shot. The challenge actually begins with packing everything you will need for the trip in a backpack. And then keeping it at a weight that you are able to carry around for a good amount of time. That is where a compact and lightweight backpacking tent comes into play.

I have used a one man tent for a good number of years. I roll it and my sleeping bag up together and strap them to the bottom of my backpack. The one man backpacking tent is extremely light weight, sets up easily and is quite snug and cozy for a single occupant. I securely fit inside the backpacking tent within my sleeping bag. There is not room for anything more than that. I stay very warm in my one man backpacking tent.

On occasion I will hang a small hammock between two trees and sack out that way. The backpacking tent may be put to the wayside when the weather is nice and allows for the hammock. Either way I bring it with me every time. My backpacking tent is so light weight and convenient it really is no problem to bring it along whether I use it or not.
