Taking the camping tent up North |

Ever since I was a little boy, I have been in the boy scouts. My father, Steve, enlisted all of my brothers and I into the boy scouts, and looking back, I am so grateful for his actions. The boy scouts taught me how to be self reliant, responsible, adventurous, trustworthy, helpful, brave, and clean. The program truly shaped me into the man that I am today. Following my father's excellent lead, I signed my young son, Benson, up for the boy scouts too. Little Benson was a bit apprehensive of going on camping trips and sleeping in a camping tent at first, but once I went with him on his first camp out, he grew to love the outdoors. On our camping trip, we took a bunch of camping tents, and went up north to Flagstaff. When we arrived to our camping site, we set up our camping tent, and then started to make a fire. My son loved building a fire, and sitting around it telling ghost stories. Over the night, he started to loosen up and really start enjoying camping. I will always remember that trip with my son.
