They are cool with all the rules and regulations and are just happy that we have the dome tent for them to camp out in. We ordered it in the spring, but it looks like we’re going to need to order a few more for next year.

The modern man has always been intrigued by survival. It is in our basic nature to be hunters and gathers. Problem with modern society is hunting and gathering is no harder than driving to the grocery store or clicking buy on a camping tent. We have lost that sense of necessity. Survival today means putting away money in an investment account so that decades down the road when we retire we can survive without a job. The explosion of survival shows on TV right now proves this point. They are my favorite kind of TV. Watching other people brave the elements, make fire without lighters, catch game with ingenuity and read weather signs to stay dry is fascinating.

I’ve always loved weekends inside camping tents. Getting way out there, in the middle of nowhere and remembering how epic nature is really puts things in perspective. There is a big hike planned this upcoming weekend with a few buddies. I’m bringing a backpacking tent just in case the mood strikes to stay overnight. Outdoor adventure starts with right location. Hiking may uncover that place.

I think it has to do with families taking time off around this part of the year because kids are out of school and the weather is great. Vacationing this month is engrained in my skull since childhood. So with that I’m preparing camping tents for a trip way up north with a couple of friends for campfires, hiking, fishing and swimming in rivers. Ever since finding the Eureka tents for sale within Smith Camping, I’ve been itching to get out into nature. The week has almost arrived. I’m waiting until after the Fourth to pack up and leave. There are so many people who are taking this weekend as their reprieve out in the great expanse.

Our plan is to go when there are less people. We then won’t have any trouble finding the ultimate spot to post our camping tents. As long as I can wake up in the morning, go fishing and hiking, I’ll be happy. Rest and relaxation behind a new backdrop is a vacation to me.

For instance, my new camping tent has this cool gear holder, like a loft, in the top of the interior where you can easily save tons of space by stashing all of your gear in there. But that is just the half of it. It also is really easy to set up, and I can’t recall ever getting a camping tent set up and ready to use so quickly in recent memory. Then it has this canopy that overhangs the front entrance where you can place some chairs and enjoy shade or coverages from the rain if the weather gets all nasty on you. Last but not least, the tarp that protects you from rain is really easy to install on my new camping tent, unlike the old one that I had, which was starting to leak. Indeed, it seems that the many planned camping trips I have this year are going to rock and sock, all thanks to my new camping tent!

Since we have had a wet winter, the rivers were still running since the snow pack to the north is still melting, so we completely enjoyed hiking and along the banks of the river.

Our camping tent is so easy to set up and getting into the wilderness is just a matter of 20 miles from home. we often go on spontaneous camping trips just to refresh ourselves and spend time in the wilderness for just a day or two. Next to our home, our camping tents are the second most frequent place we spend time overnight, so when we bought it online, we made sure it was big enough and fast to set up. Since we live so close to the wilderness, we don't need to pack a lot of cooking equipment, relying instead on food we bring from food and simply reheat so we spend our time enjoying the scenery instead.

We like to clean off the equipment at the beginning of camping season and double check that everything is in working order. Part of this includes setting up our two man camping tent in the backyard. I thoroughly sweep out remnants of previous camping trips. It is amazing sometimes the things I will find hiding on the floor of our camping tent. I have run across dirt, leaves, gum or candy wrappers, crumbs and clumps of hair.

So, you can see why spring cleaning of our gear and especially the camping tent is very important to starting out the new season on a happy note. This year as my husband and I pulled everything out of the shed we had the assistance of our grandkids. They were over for the weekend and to them this was all fun and games. They have done little camping and their interest grew as we went through each piece of equipment.

That evening we left the two room camping tent up in the backyard. We had an old fashioned camping trip right there! We cooked hot dogs over an open fire pit. My husband told stories as we sat around the fire feeding it pieces of wood throughout the night. The grandkids and I roasted marshmallows and made samores. We had a great time of it in that old two room camping tent!

Camping Tents on the Beach

If you're every going camping, consider camping on the beach.

When I was in Kaua'i during high school, I would see rows of camping tents on the beach. I wanted to join these camping tents with my own. I realized that camping on the beach was as idyllic as it gets. You get to watch the sun rise and set. The weather is always perfect in Kaua'i, though every now and then it does get a bit rainy. I'm sure camping tents would be sturdy enough to deal with most types of rain. You're also a walk away from the ocean. You could swim, surf and scuba dive. And be a beach bum.

So, I decided that it would become a goal of mine to go camping on the beach. Years later, I came back to Kaua'i with the intent of camping. I joined the rows of camping tents and nestled my own between two neighbors. I met some of the most amazing people, many of them were professionals looking for a way to relax. Life on the beach was actually extremely slow, while I camped for two weeks. I'd never felt more relaxed in my life.

Backpacking Tent For Glacier Lake Adventure

http://www.eurekadomecampingtents.com/2010/April/Backpacking-Tent-For-Glacier-Lake-Adventure.htm

This summer I’ve been trying to put together a trip up to the Pacific Northwest so I can show my friends one of the coolest hikes out there. Starting already in the higher mountainous terrain, the trail switches back and forth past small waterfalls and tall Evergreens for a few miles. By the time you reach the top exhaustion quickly dissipates in the wake of a magnificent ice blue glacier lake. I first did this hike as a kid but have not been back in many years. The scene is right out of a postcard and no matter how warm the weather is the water is freezing. Probably the coldest water I’ve ever jumped in. It is refreshing for a few seconds though after sweating for hours up the trail.

I’d like to bring a backpacking tent along so we can camp somewhere around it. I figure lugging around the average camping tent during the switchbacks would be hell. From what I have found online backpacking tents are very reasonable. I wish we could go sooner but this part of the country doesn’t get hot until summer.

Lighting And A Breeze For Our Camping Tent

http://www.eurekadomecampingtents.com/2010/March/Lighting-And-A-Breeze-For-Our-Camping-Tent.htm

I can honestly say that I am indifferent to camping, I do not love camping and I do not hate camping, I only think that it is ok. However, last year I purchased an item for our camping tent that made the stay much more enjoyable for me. With the purchase of a single item, I was able to solve my two main tent concerns.

Firstly, I always hated how difficult it was to see things, as it would tend to get very dark in the camping tent long before night time. I would nearly pee my pants in the night a few times because I could not find my way out! My next concern was the lack of circulation in our camping tent. It always felt so muggy inside of our tent and I swear that it would begin to smell. I was able to kill two birds with one stone when I found an LED lighted fan for the inside of our camping tent. The best thing about our new fan was that it hangs from the ceiling of the tent!

Since purchasing our tent fan, I feel much more comfortable when we go camping. I may even begin to like camping, if I could only find more items for our tent that would improve conditions further.

My Backpacking Tent: The Perfect Place To Rest After A Hike

http://www.eurekadomecampingtents.com/2010/March/My-Backpacking-Tent-The-Perfect-Place-To-Rest-After-A-Hike.htm

I am truly an outdoors kind of girl. I love to camp, hike and fish! I have been known to take risks and push myself mentally and physically for a good hike. I always know that I will be fine on a strenuous hike because I own the best backpacking tent that money can buy.

I purchased my backpacking tent last year before I was set to head out on one of the most difficult hikes of my young life. I knew that at the end of each long day I was going to be very tired and without being able to rest appropriately, I would not be able to safely complete my journey. Another important aspect of my backpacking tent is the fact that it is built specially to bend with the wind. As weather conditions can change drastically at a moments notice, having a shelter that is easy to set up and is wind resistant is so very important.

Aside from some serious weather issues, that fist hike using my backpacking tent went perfectly. I have never had a problem with my beloved tent and since I purchased it, I have actually been doing more camping activities! The more that I use my tent, the more that I love and appreciate it.

Weather Shield: Prolonging The Life Of Our Dome Tent

http://www.eurekadomecampingtents.com/2010/March/Weather-Shield-Prolonging-The-Life-Of-Our-Dome-Tent.htm

My husband and I are very similar in the way that we like to keep our belongings nice for as long as possible. We very much enjoy going camping together and we have had the same dome tent since we got married fifteen years ago. I can honestly say that one of the biggest helps of keeping our tent looking new is the weather shield that we use on it.

Not only does using a weather shield on our dome tent keep stains at bay, but even more importantly, it also protects from the severe weather damage that can sometimes happen in the wilderness. I also noticed that as soon as we began to use weather shield on our tent, we were much less likely to feel the cold or moisture in the air during surprise showers.

I really believe that with proper maintenance, we will be able to use our dome tent for many more years to come. When the day comes that we have to buy a new tent, we will be sure to continue using weather shield.
